Ripple is a platform connecting volunteers with community organisations. We facilitate opportunity discovery, registration, and volunteering hour tracking. We do not employ volunteers or control organisations' opportunities and activities.

User Accounts

• Respect other users and communicate professionally
• Honour your commitments to attend opportunities you register for
• Follow safety guidelines and opportunity instructions
• Protect your account credentials
• Comply with all applicable laws

Prohibited Conduct

• Posting false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour
• Repeatedly cancelling opportunity registrations without notice
• Using the platform for commercial solicitation
• Attempting to bypass security measures
• Scraping or automated data collection
• Impersonating others or creating fake accounts
• Posting content that violates intellectual property rights

Volunteer Opportunities

Opportunity listings are created by organisations, not Ripple. We do not verify opportunity details, working conditions, or safety beyond organisation verification. Volunteers participate at their own risk and should assess opportunities carefully. We are not responsible for disputes between volunteers and organisations.

Organisation Responsibilities

• Maintain current public liability insurance
• Verify volunteer requirements (e.g., Working with Children Checks)
• Provide accurate opportunity information
• Ensure safe working conditions
• Respect volunteer rights and dignity
• Comply with employment and volunteering laws
• Report incidents to Ripple promptly

Intellectual Property

Ripple owns all platform content, design, and functionality. Users retain ownership of content they post but grant us a license to use, display, and distribute it on the platform. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without permission.

Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED ACCESS, ACCURACY OF INFORMATION, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ORGANISATION CONDUCT, EVENT SAFETY, OR VOLUNTEER PERFORMANCE.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RIPPLE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM PLATFORM USE, INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR LOST OPPORTUNITIES.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Ripple harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform, violation of these terms, or violation of any third-party rights.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Provisions regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.
